What to focus on in your 2020 plan?



The year is coming to an end and it's time for you to have a look at your plan for the coming years. What should it contain if you want to gain success with your digital communication and marketing?

From my experience it's important to get a grasp on three main areas.



Digital Presence





Overall it's important to work strategic with the digital presence with a clear digital and content strategy in order to be visible for customers and potential customers. Generating leads and conversion through SEO, content creation (content is still king!) and customer journeys together with web analytics for constantly improving the digital presence and user experience.



Customer Journeys and Web Analytics





To ensure a great user experience, it's becoming still more and more important to create a personalised experience for your customers. You therefore need to work actively with CEM (customer experience management) and creating and analysing your customer journeys through insights (web analytics) and touch points in a service design.



SAFe - Scaled Agile Framework





In a digital world where things are changing rapidly you need to be able to move fast and that's why the waterfall model in many ways is history. Start managing your big digital projects with an agile approach to see progress. Getting into gear and only accelerate from there:

Create a backlog, prioritise and make sprints with small deliveries to get moving.

2016-


Digital Communication & Marketing Expert, Nordea

Drive and develop optimal communication and marketing solutions according to the overall communication and marketing plan to provide customers with timely, accurate and relevant information as part of their service experience and ensure great customer experience through projects like:

  • Nordic driver for Private Banking Site Redesign which was responsible for given Private Banking websites (nordea.xx/privatebanking and nordeaprivatebanking.com) a redesign and new concept which is in line with the new Nordea brand and furthermore support our overall new strategy and digital ambitions for Global Private Banking and thus to ensure Nordic alignment in collaboration with Branding and our external digital agency.
  • Key driver in implementing Apsis as new email Marketing tool, create templates and drive pilot project for send outs and mapping subscription flow.
  • Key role in content migration for Nordea Investor and setup of structure, governance, working procedures and migrations guides.
  • Responsible for making podcast strategy and implementation.



2014-2016


Digital Content & Communication Specialist, Nordea

Working as Online driver and responsible for own digital channels such as entire Savings area on nordea.dk, nordeaprivatebanking.dk, Nordea's trading platform Nordea Investor - including:

  • Running a project to get tracking and web analytics implemented on our trading platform, Nordea Investor.
  • Responsible for a multimedia setup with buying video and podcast equipment and software on a Nordic level.
  • Key role in the establishment of a new Media Centre when Nordea moves to Ørestaden.



2014


Marketing Partner & Site Manager, Nordea

In Marketing DK I had the daily responsibility for nordea.dk and our overall publishing plan (including nordea.dk, marketing and campaign areas in Netbank, ATM and marketing screens in the branches). Furthermore I was responsible for supporting marketing activities with landing pages / campaign sites and hereby worked with external digital agencies.



2012-2014


Junior Comm. & Marketing Manager, Nordea Markets

As Communication & Marketing Manager in Markets I was working with both internal and external communication to our big institutional clients including:

  • Involved in implementing new websites for Nordea Markets and afterwards acting as webmaster on both nordeamarkets.com and nordea.xx/markets.
  • Responsible for the daily operations and development of our social intranet 2.0 called M-book, including user administration and stats follow up.
  • Part of WEM (Web Experience Management) extended project team - responsible for implementing of SDL Tridion - the new WCMS for all nordea.xx open pages.




MASTER OF ART (MA) IN COMMUNICATION, AALBORG UNIVERSITY





The Master's programme in communication have enabled me to initiate, implement and evaluate communication interventions in and from private and public companies and organisations on the basis of research and analyses. Through the study I have acquired competences to independently carry out studies, development and intervention in cooperation with media and organisational actors and thus work in areas where communication plays a vital role as a strategic change and development tool.

The Media Production and Management bachelor programme has made me able to organise and undertake complex projects in the development, production and marketing of media products. I have strengthened my skills in analysing problems, developing general solutions, and implementing specific solutions related to productions and marketing. Furthermore the programme has enabled me to contribute to strategic solutions for the organisation of production or marketing systems in media companies.
